Le site Patrimoine philosophique du Québec ne signale habituellement pas les textes anglophones, même si l'auteur vit au Québec. Nous faisons une exception dans ce cas, étant donné a) le caractère exceptionnel de cet ouvrage monumental, qui a inspiré bien des philosophes francophones (dont Normand Baillargeon et Laurent-Michel Vacher), et b) le fait que l'auteur, parfaitement trilingue (il était né en Argentine), écrivait parfois en français.
